AGL to step up customer decarbonisation
After a year of drama and upheaval, AGL Energy is starting to look like a normal ASX top 200 energy company. As one CEO who came through a crisis said: “Boring is beautiful”.
AGL Energy chief executive Damien Nicks will start his round of investor meetings this week with Grok Ventures, the investment vehicle of Mike Cannon-Brookes, who spent last year putting the company through the wringer.
Apart from taking the company’s single biggest shareholder through the disappointing half-year results, Nicks will likely spend time talking up phase two of his decarbonisation strategy, which is all his own work.
