South-east gas on track after AGL Energy doubles buy contract
South-eastern states look set to secure a new source of gas after AGL Energy almost doubled the volume of fuel it will buy from Cooper Energy's $550 million Sole project, providing the junior with enough customer sales contracts to secure funding.
Cooper will now seek to lock in a deal within the next month with either an equity partner or an infrastructure investor as the first stage of the process to line up funding for the venture, said managing director David Maxwell.
