Corporate Travel's Tony Bellas signed "unauthorised" transfer

On Saturday, Corporate Travel Management chairman Tony Bellas assured us that an ASX lodgement by the company on Monday would "address our queries" about the dramatic and mysterious February 14 disappearance of $4.5 million worth of shares from a super account jointly held with ex-wife Maria. Having now apprised ourselves of the company's 11:32am response to the bourse's "please explain" of Thursday last week, we haven't the faintest clue how Bellas could consider this case closed.

Only on Monday last week was Corporate Travel Management made aware by its chairman of a November 13 order by the Family Court requiring him to transfer ownership of 180,826 Corporate Travel shares to his ex-wife. But, as his latest version goes, the court's paperwork "contained an error" that (according to his legal advice) needed to be rectified before the transfer could proceed. Yet despite this "error" and its administrative impact, Bellas, by his own admission, still signed the documents!
