A man was seriously injured after he was bashed and robbed in the Adelaide CBD on Saturday morning.
Police officers found the man, 53, from the Fleurieu Peninsula, unconscious in Produce Lane, near Hindley Street, just after 3.30am.
Police said the victim was approached by two men and that one of them punched him in the face. The man fell to the ground, striking his head on the bitumen.
Footage obtained by 7NEWS Adelaide appears to show the two alleged offenders luring the victim down the laneway before stealing his wallet. One of the men appears to use his elbow to strike the 53-year-old’s head.
A 36-year-old man from Bordertown and a 32-year-old man from Christie Downs were arrested at a nearby fast-food restaurant.
They were charged with aggravated robbery and were refused bail to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
The victim was taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital in a serious condition but was released about noon.
