A large group of police swarmed a man as he arrived at the Adelaide Airport from interstate on Thursday night.
Witnesses reported seeing a man escorted by up to 20 police officers after arriving on a plane from Sydney
Australian Federal Police confirmed to The Advertiser officers had responded after a request from an airline.
“On Thursday evening (20 February, 2025), the AFP responded to a request for assistance from an airline regarding a domestic flight travelling from Sydney to Adelaide,” an AFP spokesperson said.
“Upon arrival at Adelaide airport, AFP officers spoke with a male passenger.
“Inquiries are ongoing and the AFP will provide an update at an appropriate time.”
The APF ensured passengers there was “no danger to the travelling public as a result of this activity”.
It is understood the plane was VA434, a Virgin flight arriving in Adelaide at 7.10am on Thursday from Sydney.
