SATURDAY, MAY 16
Three people have been charged after a police pursuit at Elizabeth Vale early on Saturday morning.
Police tried to stop the driver of a blue Mercedes on Haydown Rd just after 2.45am.
The drive failed to stop and sped away.
Police checks revealed the car had been stolen during a violent altercation on Tuesday, May 12 in which the owner of the car, a 32-year-old man from Mawson Lakes, was stabbed in the leg. He was treated in hospital for a minor injury.
Police used road spikes to try to stop the Mercedes near the intersection of Bolivar and Port Wakefield Rds but the driver continued on.
The car turned into Daniel Avenue at Globe Derby Park where it was abandoned.
The three occupants ran into scrubland.
Police cordoned the area and the trio were quickly found police dog PD Jax.
A 29-year-old man of no fixed addres was charged with dangerous driving to escape police pursuit and illegal use of a motor vehicle.
A 26-year-old man from Munno Para West and 23-year-old woman from Mansfield Park were charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle.
Investigations are continuing.

POLICE RAID UNDERGROUND METH BUNKER
Detectives expect to spend several days processessing evidence discovered in a hidden drug lab at Evanston South yesterday.
Two men were arresteby SAPOL Serious and Organised Crime Branch detectives and Australian Federal Police after the lab was found in a purpose built underground bunker at around 6pm.
A 43-year-old Greenwith man a Munno Para man, 54, have been charged with manufacturing a large commercial quantity of a controlled drug. They were refused bail to appear in court today.
AFP Superintendent Investigations Gail McClure said drug dealers continued to find new ways to exploit illegal drug markets despite the coronavirus pandemic hurting criminal networks.
““It is apparent that drug suppliers continue to adapt to the changing circumstances and local production of drugs continues to provide a business opportunity completely disregarding the health and wellbeing of the community,” he said.
TEEN MOTORCYCLIST KILLED
A 16-year-old boy has died in a crash between a motorbike and a car at Riverton in the state’s Mid North.
The smash occurred on Riverton Rd, near Griffiths Rd, about 5.45pm yesterday.
Sadly, the rider of the motorbike – a 16-year-old boy – died at the scene while the driver of the car – a 41-year-old local man – was not injured.

THURSDAY, MAY 14
CAR STUCK ON TRACKS AT BLACK FOREST
Train services are resuming after a car was cleared off the tracks at the intersection of South and Cross roads.
Police say the car became stuck on the tracks after a crash in Black Forest just before 7am.
The boom gates remained down and it halted all Seaford and Tonsley train lines.
The vehicle was moved off the tracks just before 7.30am and trains are resuming service.
Adelaide Metro has told commuters to expect residual delays.

MAN STABBED IN NECK IN FAR WEST SA
A man is in a serious condition after a woman allegedly stabbed him in the neck in SA’s Far West on Wednesday night.
Police say the stabbing happened at a home on Miller St in Koonibba, about 40km west of Ceduna, just after 9pm.
Emergency services found a 36-year-old man with a stab wound to his neck. He was taken to the Ceduna Hospital, where he is in a serious but stable condition.
About 45 minutes later, a 36-year-old woman was arrested near the Miller St address.
She was charged with commit assault that causes harm and was refused bail to appear in the Ceduna Magistrates Court on Thursday.
Police say the man and woman are known to each other and the investigation is ongoing.
DRIVER FLEES CRASH, CAR CATCHES FIRE
A car has burst into flames after crashing into a tree at Seaton on Wednesday night.
The driver and passenger, both male, ran away from the crash on Trimmer Parade just before 9.30pm.
The car, a Toyota RAV4, caught fire after smashing into the tree. The flames were quickly extinguished by MFS crews.
Police are searching for the two men, who did not appear to be injured.
ARRESTS AT CONSTRUCTION SITE
A man and a woman have been arrested after they allegedly kicked down the front door of a home under construction at Lower Mitcham on Thursday morning.
The pair – a 27-year-old Croydon man and a 19-year-old Mitcham woman – were seen at a home under construction on Catherine St just after midnight.
Officers set up cordons around the area and called in police dog Stoic to search for the people.
PD Stoic found the pair, allegedly hiding in the rear of the property.
They were both arrested and charged with property damage, being on premises for an unlawful reason and carrying graffiti implements.
They were bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 13
WEST LAKES SERVO ROBBERY
A man is on the run after holding up a western suburbs petrol station overnight.
Police say the man, wearing a blue beanie with a grey scarf covering his face, walked into the store at the corner of Frederick Rd and West Lakes Boulevard at West Lakes just after 2.20am today.
He threatened staff and stole a small amount of cash.
Police say he was also wearing a grey long sleeve jumper, black trousers, black shoes and had a black shoulder satchel. He is described as about 180cm tall.
No one was injured in the incident.

WOMAN THREATENS RESTAURANT STAFF WITH BAT: POLICE
A woman has been arrested after allegedly threatening staff with a bat at a northern suburbs restaurant on Monday night.
Police saw an orange Holden sedan driving erratically before it parked in front of a Munno Para restaurant about 9.40pm.
A patrol stopped behind the car and walked in, where they found a woman, 29, of Smithfield Plains, allegedly threatening staff with a baseball bat.
An officer pulled out a taser, prompting the woman to immediately drop the bat.
The 29-year-old and a 34-year-old man, also from Smithfield Plains, were both arrested.
The woman was charged with aggravated affray, while the man was charged with disorderly behaviour and fined for drink driving.
TUESDAY, MAY 12
MAN ARRESTED OVER CHILD SEX APP
A 56-year-old northern suburbs man has been arrested on child sex charges after allegedly acting as the administrator of a social networking application for the purpose of dealing with child exploitation material.
Detectives from the SA Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team and the Australian Federal Police on Tuesday morning arrested the man and charged him with two counts of making a child amenable to sexual activity and one count of offences relating to websites.
The man was refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
INFO SOUGHT AFTER FIREARM THREAT
Police have released CCTV footage of a Ford sedan involved in an incident where three men allegedly threatened an Evanston resident with a firearm in February.
They are seeking information from the public to identify the vehicle and its occupants.
Three men were travelling in a silver or light coloured sedan, likely an early 2000 model Ford, just before 10pm on Thursday, February 13.
The men allegedly attended an Evanston address and threatened the occupant with a firearm. No shots were discharged and the victim was not injured in the incident.
They left the scene in the Ford.
The first suspect is described as a man of caucasian appearance, about 183cm tall, with a stocky build, wearing a white hoodie.
The second is caucasian, shorter than the first, with a heavy build.
There was no description of the third man.
CCTV footage shows the vehicle turning around in the street prior to attending the victim’s house.
This was not a random attack and police believe the threat was made in response to an incident that occurred five weeks earlier.

FATAL FIRE AT GLOBE DERBY
A man has died in a house fire that broke out in the early hours of this morning.
Emergency services were called to Pork Wakefield Rd after reports of a fire just before 3am this morning.

Firefighters battled the blaze but the premises was extensively damaged and a man was found dead inside the home.
Fire Cause Investigators attended the scene and deemed the fire was not suspicious.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
It follows a fatal house fire in Two Wells over the weekend.

FANTASY HAUL FOUND AT SALISBURY
Two women and a man were arrested after police allegedly located around 90 litres of fantasy and a loaded rifle at a Salisbury home on Saturday.
Police attended the home about 6.30pm where they allegedly found 90 litres of fantasy and the rifle.
Two men, aged 34 and 32, and a woman, 25, all from Salisbury, were arrested and charged with trafficking a large commercial quantity of a drug, and firearm offences.
All three were refused bail to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court.
HUNDREDS CAUGHT DURING MOBILE PHONE BLITZ
Nearly 300 drivers have been fined during a week-long traffic blitz aimed at mobile phone use behind the wheel.
Police issued 291 expiation notices to drivers caught committing a distraction offence during the blitz.
Police say they heard multiple excuses from distracted drivers who were caught and fined.
One woman was caught driving on North Terrace using two phones in separate hands while at the traffic lights.
“There is never an acceptable excuse for being distracted while you’re behind the wheel,” Superintendent Boy Gray said.
“Last year in this state we lost 46 lives in collisions where distraction was a contributing factor. This year we have already lost 24 lives due to distraction.
“Do not contribute to this loss of life.”
SUSPECTS ON THE RUN AFTER SUSPICIOUS FIRE
Two people are on the run following a Ridgehaven car fire last night, which was sparked by a molotov cocktail overnight. Police and fire crews were called to a house in Dale Ave at around 10pm Sunday after reports of a car fire.
Two people were seen running from the scene. Fire crews extinguished the blaze, and no one was reported injured.

MAN CHARGED OVER CHILD EXPLOITATION MATERIAL
A man has been arrested after allegedly being found in possession of child exploitation material.
Police from the Public Protection Branch and Special Crimes Investigation Branch arrested a 65-year-old northeastern suburbs man for possession of child exploitation material.
He was granted bail to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on August 13.
TEEN DRIVER TESTS POSITIVE TO DRUGS
An unlicensed teenage driver has tested positive to methamphetamine, police say.
Port Lincoln police stopped a Holden station wagon on Hecla St at Port Lincoln at around 3pm yesterday for a mobile driver test.
The driver, a 16-year-old local, submitted a drug test and allegedly returned a positive result to cannabis and methamphetamine. Further checks revealed the teenager had never held a driver’s licence. The driver was issued an indefinite driver direction noticed to not drive, his vehicle was impounded for 28 days and at the completion of forensic analysis, he may be charged with drug driving.

MAN DIES IN TWO WELLS HOUSE FIRE
A 71-year-old man has died after his Two Wells home went up in flames on Saturday evening.
Dozens of CFS volunteers were unable to gain access to the house on Williams Rd just after 7pm, because of excessive clutter stacked inside.
Neighbours told The Advertiser no one knew if the 71-year-old was inside, as they helplessly watched the home burn.
Region 2 Deputy Commander Scott Haynes said “some of the material … was stacked up to window height”.

“It wasn’t until some time after crews arrived that they realised there was actually a person within the structure,” he said.
Fire Cause Investigators examined the scene on Sunday, but the exact cause of the blaze will not be revealed until a coroner’s report is finalised.
A police spokesman said the fire is not suspicious.
One Williams Rd resident, who did not want to be named, rushed to the scene when he opened his front door to see flames across the road.
“I went bolting over there, but there was nothing anyone could do then,” he said.
“(The victim) needed two sticks to get around, plus the place was up to the roof in cardboard.”
Another neighbour Peter Cremona was left saddened by the incident.
“(I’m) very shocked. It doesn’t hit you until it’s so close to home,” he said.
MORPHETT VALE PHONE TOWER TORCHED
A phone tower in Morphett Vale has been damaged in an arson attack overnight.
Police say the tower was torched on Flaxmill Rd about 11.15pm on Saturday.
MFS crews quickly extinguished the blaze, but the tower was significantly damaged.
Crime Scene investigators believe the fire was deliberately lit.

GAWLER WEST BREAK-IN
A man has been arrested after allegedly breaking into a Gawler West home in the middle of the night.
Police allege the man, 25, of Whyalla Norrie, broke into the home by smashing a window about 1.40am on Sunday.
A man and a woman were asleep inside when they were woken by the man, who police say is known to the occupants.
Officers arrived at the scene and arrested the man.
He was charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, property damage and theft.
He was refused bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Monday.
