A man who was bashed by a group of men in the Adelaide High School car park has died after spending more than a week in a coma. A man accused of the attack is expected to face upgraded charges.

The victim of a brutal bashing in the Adelaide High School car park has died after spending more than a week in an induced coma.
Police are expected to upgrade the charges against a man, 23, of Adelaide, who is accused of the attack.
The victim, a 24-year-old Ridleyton man, died in the Royal Adelaide Hospital on Saturday.
Suppression orders prevent the identities of the men being revealed.
Police allege the victim was lured to the West Terrace school’s car park and “set upon” by up to four men just after 9.30pm on Friday August 28.
The victim suffered serious brain injuries and spent more than a week in an induced coma.
Police previously said in court the attack was “sustained” and “vicious”.
Detectives are still piecing together what happened that night and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
It is believed the victim visited the Welland Shopping Centre car park on Port Road earlier in the evening.
The defendant’s bail application was delayed last Wednesday after police refused to provide evidence to the man’s lawyer, Stacey Carter.
Magistrate Simon Smart requested police provide Ms Carter with details of a witness who was used to identify the alleged attacker.
Police told the court the investigation was in its “infancy” and were worried the defendant would “intimidate” the witness.
Mr Smart described the police’s actions as “extraordinary”.
