Woman to face court after bus driver stabbed in alleged attack in North Adelaide

A 23-year-old woman will face court today after a bus driver was stabbed in a late night alleged altercation in Adelaide’s north.

A woman will face court today after a bus driver was stabbed late on Thursday night.

Police were called to King William Rd, near Kermode St in North Adelaide, about 11.20pm on Thursday after reports a woman had stabbed a bus driver following an altercation on a bus.

The victim – a 37-year-old man – was treated at the scene for minor injuries to his hand.

The suspect had fled before patrols arrived, according to police.

However, officers searched the area and found a 23-year-old Morphett Vale woman near North Tce.

In her possession police allegedly found a pair of scissors.

She was charged with assault causing harm and breach of bail.

She did not apply for bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Friday.
