Woman, 35, rushed to Port Augusta Hospital as video reveals shocking scenes

Violent scenes have played out on a public street in a shocking clash that saw a woman left motionless on the ground before being rushed to hospital.

A 35-year-old woman has been rushed to hospital after she was left unconscious following a horrific street attack in Port Augusta.

Her boyfriend, who attempted to help her off the ground, was also punched in the frenzy and fell to the ground.

About 5am on Saturday morning, the victim was attacked in Waters Cres by a 37-year-old woman who grabbed her by the hair and repeatedly slammed her head into the ground.

She was arrested by police and charged with assault.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Confronting video has emerged which appears to show the violent scenes on a public street before the woman was taken for medical care.

The footage, obtained by 7News Adelaide, shows crowds of people in the street as several appear to be involved in the row.

It also appears to show a woman lying motionless on the ground amid the violent clash.

It is not known what sparked the confrontation.
