Woman, 35, blows almost seven times legal limit after car blocks Golden Grove Rd, Modbury North

A woman has lost her licence after her vehicle was caught blocking traffic on a major commuter road – before allegedly recording an eye-watering blood alcohol reading of 0.339.

A woman has lost her licence after her vehicle was found blocking traffic before allegedly recording an extreme blood alcohol reading.

Police were called to Golden Grove Rd, Modbury North, at 7pm on Monday to report a vehicle stopped in the middle of the busy road, blocking traffic.

The driver, a 45-year-old Redwood Park woman, recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.339.

She was reported for drink driving and issued a 12-month instant loss of licence.

The woman’s car was impounded for 28 days.

She will be summoned to appear in court at a later date.
