The victim of a frenzied stabbing attack at Salisbury North on Saturday has been identified as Anthony Davidson, with the 37-year-old making a recovery in hospital from four separate wounds.

Mr Davidson, a scaffolder, was rushed to hospital with serious injuries following the alleged attack.

Police found Mr Davidson with stab wounds in the front yard of his Quadrant Ave house after 8pm before an ambulance rushed him to hospital.

His injuries were assessed as non-life-threatening, with a relative sharing an image of him recovering in hospital with The Advertiser.

A relative of Mr Davidson said before the attack the victim heard a commotion at the front gate of his home and thought he heard a name being called out.

The relative said Mr Davidson was stabbed four times, twice in the side, once in the back and once in the leg.

She said at one point Mr Davidson went quiet while the yelling continued.

Ms Cook then recalled seeing Mr Davidson wounded back when he was being loaded into the ambulance.
