Two teenagers and a 12-year-old boy have been arrested after being caught in a Beaumont backyard

Police were called to the eastern suburbs residence after reports teenagers were on the property. Police dogs helped lead police to the trio attempting to run.

Two teenagers and a boy have been arrested after they were caught in an eastern suburbs backyard on Wednesday.

At about 2.20am police were called to Thirkell Ave at Beaumont after a resident reported they had disturbed the three alleged trespassers in their backyard.

Police dogs Jax and Zeus assisted in the search which lead police to spot the trio running down Thirkell Ave at about 3.15am.

Three boys – aged 16, 13 and 12 – were arrested and have been charged with being unlawfully on premises.

The 16 year old will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on Wednesday. The other teenager and boy are expected to appear in court at a later date after being granted bail.

Police are investigating whether a stolen Toyota Corolla, found in the driveway of a nearby Thirkell Ave residence, is linked to the alleged trespassers.

The car was stolen overnight from Northgate and is currently being examined by crime scene investigators.
