Cannabis and two cars were seized by police after a “sophisticated” drug operation was allegedly discovered in a Salisbury South warehouse.
Police say they searched the warehouse on Mengel Street on January 10, where they allegedly found 14 large cannabis plants, along with 50kg of dried cannabis packaged and ready for distribution.
A Subaru WRX sedan and an Audi RS4 station wagon were also seized from the property.
Police arrested two men – a 45-year-old from Semaphore and a 47-year-old from Golden Grove – who were charged with cultivating cannabis, possess prescribed equipment, theft of electricity and trafficking a large commercial quantity of cannabis.
Both men were refused bail and appeared in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Thursday January 11.
They were remanded in custody and are scheduled to reappear on January 18.
