The two inmates involved in an incident at Yatala Labour Prison on Christmas Day have since been released from hospital.
On Friday, a Department of Correctional Services spokeswoman told the Advertiser the male prisoners had both been released from hospital with minor injuries.
At this stage, there have been no arrests or charges laid over the incident.
Emergency services rushed to the Northfield prison after two inmates were involved in an incident at about 3pm on December 25.
“As a result, both prisoners have been taken to hospital for assessment,” the spokeswoman said at the time.
The initial emergency services call-out suggested a weapon was involved in the incident, which the spokeswoman could not confirm.
It comes after Kayla Ellison, 28, was sentenced to two years imprisonment, reduced to one year and six months, on Monday after pleading guilty to two counts of introducing a prohibited item into Yatala Labour Prison on April 9.
Police confiscated an object, which was identified as illicit drugs wrapped inside a condom.
Judge Michael Burnett suspended the sentence on condition of a $100, two-year good behaviour bond.
