Three teenage girls have been arrested overnight after allegedly attempting to steal alcohol from a licensed premises at Pennington.
It is understood the trio entered the gaming room of the hotel on Grand Junction Rd on Saturday at about 2.30am where they allegedly went behind the counter and grabbed bottles of alcohol.
Fortunately, quick-thinking patrons locked the doors and trapped two suspects inside.
The third girl managed to escape the hotel premises by jumping into a rideshare car, however was eventually caught by a police dog.
The alleged thieves, two 15-year-old girls and one 16-year-old girl, were arrested and charged with attempted theft, aggravated assault on security and property damage to the doors while trying to get away.
Two girls were refused police bail and are expected to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on Monday. A 15-year-old girl was bailed to appear in the Youth Court in January.
