Teens charged with unlawful possession and weapon offences after police pursuit in northern suburbs

A pair of teenagers allegedly caught with stolen goods and offensive weapons will face court after a police pursuit across the northern suburbs early on Tuesday morning.

A pair of teenagers allegedly caught with stolen goods will face court after a police pursuit in the northern suburbs on Tuesday morning.

Police driving on Hampstead Rd at Clearview, just before 2am on Tuesday, saw a white Falcon sedan without registration plates heading north.

Police directed the driver to stop however the car took off at west on Northfield Rd and then onto Mansfield Rd where it made its way onto Sir Ross Smith Boulevard.

The car then stopped on Attingham Cres at Oakden and two people were seen running from the area.

The two suspects were found nearby on Fosters Rd where the pair were swiftly arrested.

Patrols searched the Ford sedan and located stolen tools plus breaking implements including a balaclava and gloves.

An 18-year-old from Northfield and a 19-year-old from Truro were both charged with carrying an offensive weapon, possessing an article to commit an offence and unlawful possession.

The 18-year-old, the alleged driver, was further charged with driving dangerously to escape a police pursuit and driving unlicensed.

They were both granted police bail to appear in Adelaide Magistrates Court on November 18.
