Two hospitalised after ute on wrong side of Northern Expressway slams into oncoming traffic at Angle Vale

Police are investigating a serious crash in the northern suburbs overnight with two men rushed to hospital after a ute travelled down the wrong side of an expressway.

Police are investigating a serious crash in the northern suburbs overnight with two men rushed to hospital after a ute travelled down the wrong side of an expressway.

Emergency services were called to Northern Expressway at Angle Vale just after 10pm on Monday after reports a white Mitsubishi ute collided with two vehicles.

The ute was travelling on the wrong side of the expressway.

The driver of the ute, a 35-year-old man from Lyndoch, was taken to hospital for treatment of serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of a Toyota, a 40-year-old man from Hewett, was also taken to hospital for treatment of serious but non-life threatening injuries while the driver of a red MG

station wagon – a 62-year-old man from Munno Para Downs – was not injured.

All three vehicles were towed from the scene and the Northern Expressway was closed for all northbound traffic between Curtis Rd and Angle Vale Rd but has since reopened.
