Stolen van used to ram raid a northern suburbs Cash Converters

An Adelaide second-hand store has been broken into after thieves stole a tradie’s van and rammed the premises – but he was just impressed.

The front door of a northern suburbs Cash Converters has been completely smashed after the store was ram raided on Friday morning.

Police arrived after reports of an alarm activation at the North East Rd store.

They found the front door destroyed along with damage inside the store.

A number of items were stolen.

Police searched the Hampstead Gardens store and the surrounding area but did not locate the suspects. They found the van on Fullerton Rd near Stow Court around 9.30am.

The young tradie who owned the van gave the thieves “props”.

“Honestly props to them cause that’s like proper GTA-type s**t,” he told 7NEWS.

“They full went out got all my tools and all that and it’s just like if they’re that dedicated, go smash through a Cash Converters like good on them, that’s crazy.”

CCTV footage identified a stolen Ford Transit van had been used to smash the front roller door to gain entry.

The occupants of this vehicle were seen entering the second-hand store for a short time before leaving in the stolen vehicle with stolen goods.
