A motorcyclist has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after colliding with a car at a busy northern-suburbs intersection.

The collision occurred near the corner of Yorktown Road and Innes St at Elizabeth Park just before 5pm on Monday.

The rider, a 42-year-old man from Craigmore, was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital but his condition is not believed to be life-threatening.

Traffic was diverted around the scene for two hours but has since cleared.

Meanwhile, several cattle have died and a truck driver was seriously injured when a B-double rolled at Stewart Range, west of Naracoorte, on Monday.

Police were called to Lucindale Road, Stewart Range, west of Plantation Road, just after 5.30pm.

The truck driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Naracoorte Hospital before being transferred to Mount Gambier Hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Sadly, several cattle need to be destroyed.

Police and CFS volunteers are working to clear the scene and expect to remain in attendance for several hours.

Investigations into the crash are ongoing.

The crashes come after a two-car crash left four people injured in Wirrina Cove earlier this month.

A 74-year-old Belgian man pleaded guilty to driving without due care in the Christies Beach Magistrate Court days after the collision.
