An alleged child care centre paedophile has been rearrested and charged with even more offending – just days after 180 parents received letters about his alleged crimes.
On Thursday, Bronte John Ciracovitch faced the Adelaide Magistrates Court after a visit from SA Police detectives in his City Watch House cell.
He was charged with one count of aggravated indecent assault and three counts of aggravated procure child to commit an indecent act.
He was further charged with two counts of aggravated produce child exploitation material and one count of aggravated possess child exploitation material.
He was also charged with one count of maintaining an unlawful sexual relationship – offences that allegedly occurred while he was working within a childcare centre.
Ciracovitch, 30, had previously been charged with one count of maintaining an unlawful sexual relationship with a minor.
He was also charged with aggravated counts of producing and possessing child exploitation material.
Previously, prosecutors alleged Ciracovitch committed those offences while employed by Child Care Services Australia, which operates five privately-run child care facilities in SA.
Ciracovitch’s identity was suppressed upon his arrest, but that order was lifted last month so letters could be sent to 180 families potentially affected by the alleged offending.
Following the lifting of the order, Child Care Services Australia released a statement saying Ciracovitch was no longer a member of its staff.
Meanwhile a different child care centre, at which Ciracovitch had also worked, wrote to its client base saying it was assisting police with their inquiries.
Ciracovitch has been remanded in custody.
