Pooraka gun dealer arrested, charged with raft of firearms offences
A gun dealer from Adelaide’s north has been arrested and charged with a raft of firearms offences, including trafficking and altering a firearm.

Detectives have arrested and charged an Adelaide firearms dealer, who was reported for allegedly trafficking firearms earlier this year.
Detectives from the Serious Firearm Investigation Section arrested the 43-year-old man on June 29 after an investigation and charged him with a raft of new offences.
In March, the man was reported for two counts of trafficking firearms and had his dealership and firearms licence suspended.
But after additional inquiries, detectives attended a Pooraka address and arrested the man for further alleged offences.
He has been charged with four counts of dishonest dealing in documents, altering a firearm and 22 counts of breach of firearms licence conditions among other offences.
The man has been bailed to appear at the Adelaide Magistrates Court in August.
Police are appealing for anyone with information in relation to the illegal possession or manufacture of firearms to contact Crime Stoppers.
Another man will face court today after being arrested for firearms offences when police located a stolen car at Prospect.
Police attended a Myrtle Street address on Sunday and located two loaded prohibited firearms, one loaded home-made firearm, a crossbow, knives and the stolen vehicle.
The vehicle had been stolen from a Tailem Bend address in January.
Just after 9pm, a 37-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with numerous firearm and weapon offences, unlawful possession and possession of identity theft material.
The man was refused bail and will be attending the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
Detective Inspector Trevor Rea said possession of illegal firearms can lead to catastrophic outcomes.
“Police will continue its relentless pursuit of individuals who are in possession of illegal firearm,” he said,
Meanwhile, a 38-year-old man from Laura has been reported for firearms offences after a Holden sedan carrying three children was stopped on the Horrocks Hwy at Gladstone about 2pm on Sunday.
The 34-year-old female driver of the Holden – also from Laura – allegedly tested positive to meth.
A searched of the vehicle allegedly turned up an amount of cannabis.
Later on Sunday officers searched an address in Laura and alleged found an unregistered and insecure firearm and an amount of drugs.
The female driver lost her licence pending results of a forensic analysis and may face drug driving charges.
The man was reported for possession of a firearm without a licence and an unregistered firearm.
He will appear in court at a later date.
