Teen bashed and robbed of phone and watch by three men at Semaphore Park

Three men have bashed and robbed a teenager of his watch and phone in a late-night attack on a street in Adelaide’s western suburbs.

Three men have bashed and robbed a teenage boy of his watch and mobile phone in a late-night attack at Semaphore Park.

The teen was walking on Bower Rd about 10.30pm on Sunday when he was approached by three men in a dark car.

He was assaulted and robbed of his watch and a black bag that had his mobile phone in it.

The boy, who suffered minor injuries in the attack, fled to a nearby home for help.

The attackers left the scene and remain on the run.

Also overnight, police arrested a man in the CBD who was caught with an angle grinder on Currie St and allegedly interfering with an airconditioning unit.

Patrols responded to a witness report of a man attempting to remove a metal grate from an airconditioning unit in a carpark on Currie Street about 2.15am on Monday.

Officers found the man nearby, where he was searched and found to be in possession of an angle grinder and tools, police said.

He was also in possession of small amount of drugs and a mobile phone which is suspected to be stolen.

An Adelaide man, 37, was charged with going equipped, possession of drugs and unlawful possession.

He was bailed to appear before the Adelaide Magistrates Court in August.
