Police have arrested a teenage boy over an alleged indecent assault in Adelaide’s north on Monday night.

Police say the 14-year-old approached a woman on Neville Ave, Para Vista, and asked her for directions just after 7.30pm.

CCTV footage captured a male following the young woman as she walked along Neville Ave, before attempting to drag her into the bushes close to the intersection of Hilliard Place and Warren Rd.

The woman, who was not physically injured, yelled for help before the teen fled.

Police were called to canvas the area but did not locate the suspect until Tuesday.

Eastern District Detectives attended a home at Para Vista on Tuesday night and arrested a youth over the matter.

The boy was charged with indecent assault.

He has been bailed to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on April 5.

Para Vista resident Aiden O’Brien, who lives nearby, said he was surprised by the attack.

“It should not be happening, especially in such a quiet neighbourhood,” he told 7News.

“Nothing really happens here so it’s a big cause for concern.”

Meanwhile, police are appealing to the public to come forward with any dashcam following a separate incident.

The alleged sexual assault occurred on Sunday, February 4, in Munno Para.

The suspect was last seen walking along The Parkway around 2.40am.

Police ask anyone who can help to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au.
