Police are appealing to find a man who allegedly unleashed an attack on an innocent victim in the city’s busy Riverbank precinct.

Police are searching for a Bible-wielding suspect who allegedly brutally assaulted a 68-year-old man in a random attack along the busy Riverbank precinct.
On Thursday June 20, the 68-year-old was walking along the River Torrens path, near the base of the Festival Theatre’s amphitheatre area, when an unknown man approached him.
Police allege the man then punched the victim multiple times in the head, forcing him to the ground.
The stranger then continued his assault and kicked him while he was on the ground, police said.
He then fled the scene, heading west along the river.
The 68-year-old was rushed to hospital, where he was treated for serious injuries.
The suspect is described as being a caucasian man with an olive complexion and clean shaven.
He was wearing a cap, reflective sunglasses, a white long sleeve shirt, a red vest (he later put on a black jacket), blue jeans and white sneakers.
He was carrying a black duffel bag and a black Bible.
