More than 30 firefighters rushed to a North Adelaide church this morning, after plumes of smoke were spotted billowing from the window.
At 9.15am on Thursday, fire crews were alerted to the blaze at the church on Tynte Street, North Adelaide.
A total of 11 appliances attended the scene where a small fire was located inside the church.
“The church had a small amount of furniture and looked to be vacated,” an MFS spokesperson said.
MFS firefighters took 10 minutes to control the blaze.
The 1881-built double-brick building was formerly the North Adelaide Primitive Methodist Church but the property is now privately owned.
While the building received some smoke damage from the burning materials inside, the fire caused no structural damage.
