Police are investigating two fires in the southern suburbs as a caravan park was evacuated.

Occupants of the park were quickly alerted to the potential danger and were able to flee as about a hectare of grass and scrub burnt before the fire was extinguished by CFS crews.
Then, about 4.30am, crews again responded to a grass fire on a walking trail near Sleeps Hill Drive, Panorama where an area of about 100m by 100m of grass was burnt.
Crime scene investigators will attend both scenes of fire this morning to try to establish a cause.

Riverland waste station continues to burn
Firefighters are expected to be on the scene of a Riverland waste transfer station fire for the next few days as the facility at Waikerie continues to burn.
About 30 CFS firefighters, supported by council machinery and SA Police, are currently working on the fire ground on Maggea Rd, Waikerie.
The CFS reports the fire is not expected to break away from the station or pose any threat to the community, however the fire is causing a large amount of smoke in the area.
The blaze will continue to produce smoke for some time as the fire is being extinguished and members of the community are urged to take care, particularly if driving.
The CFS urged resident residents in the area who suffer from respiratory or cardiac conditions to consider closing all doors and windows and remain indoors.
