A man has died after being hit by a car on Friday morning, forcing the closure of a major northern suburbs road.

A man has died after being struck by a car in the northern suburbs.
About 4.15am on Friday, December 22 police and paramedics were called to Hogarth Rd at Elizabeth Grove, after a man was struck by a car.
The 37-year-old Adelaide man was hit as he was trying to cross the major northern suburbs road and died at the scene.
Major Crash investigators went to the scene and are investigating the circumstances that led to the fatal collision.

The driver of the Ford station wagon, a 31-year-old man, was not injured and is helping police with their investigation.
The man’s death is the 111th life lost on South Australian roads so far this year, compared to 66 at the same time last year.
It follows the death a young driver who died after his car rolled, went airborne, and slammed into a tree in the Adelaide Hills this week.
Tyson Cox-Rice died at the scene while two other teens were injured.
Hogarth Rd remains closed between Main North Rd and Haydown Rd.
Police advise the public to avoid the area.
