Man, 42, becomes ‘unresponsive’ during arrest sparking police investigation
An internal police investigation has been launched into how a 42-year-old man became unresponsive during an arrest in Adelaide’s east.

SA Police has launched an internal investigation into how a man became unresponsive during an arrest in Royston Park in the early hours of Thursday morning.
At 2.45am, officers witnessed an altercation between a man and a woman in the eastern suburbs.
Police intervened and during the arrest of the42-year-old man from Modbury North, he became unresponsive.
SA Ambulance attended the scene and carried the man away to hospital to undergo necessary treatment. His current condition is unknown.
Since the initial incident, Major Crime and Ethical and Professional Standards detectives have proceeded to investigate the circumstances surrounding the arrest.
On Thursday morning, The Advertiser sighted police officers in Minicozzi Shopping Centre – which is located on Payneham Rd – collecting evidence relevant to the early morning incident.
An investigator was seen collecting swabs from two glass Rivka Vodka bottles before disposing of them into the trash.
Additionally, officers entered Star Laundromat and packed away clothes from a washer into an evidence bag.
Meanwhile, a business across the road of the Minicozzi Shopping Centre captured on their CCTV the man - who is believed to have become unresponsive during the arrest - resting on the sidewalk.
The man is seen walking into frame, then sitting on the floor while leaning against the signpost before lying down. He soon sits back up and begins rocking back-and-forth.
After a few minutes, the man stands up and starts crossing the road.
At the same time, a woman slowly walks behind him, with her hands in the pockets of her sweatpants.
It is believed the two people had their alteraction on the road before police spotted them.
The investigation is in the early stages and is ongoing - however said more information will be released later on.
Payneham Rd has reopened after being closed in both directions at Royston Park between Portrush Rd and Lambert Rd.
