Parafield Gardens man Tomasz Slawomir Kakiet taken into custody on alleged sex offences against his dog and girl

A man who allegedly sexually offended against a child and his dog has been taken into custody – but secrecy surrounds the reasons why.

A northern suburbs man who allegedly committed serious sexual offences against a child and his dog has been taken into custody – for reasons that cannot be made public.

On Tuesday, prosecutors made an application to the court for Tomasz Slawomir Kakiet, of Parafield Gardens, to have his court ordered bail revoked.

The details of the application – and the submissions heard by Magistrate Brian Nitschke – have been suppressed and cannot be reported.

During the same appearance, Mr Kakiet, 46, was due to enter pleas to more than 20 pending charges against him – but ongoing negotiations between the parties meant further time was needed.

Mr Kakiet is yet to enter a plea to six counts of knowingly accessing child exploitation material, five counts of committing bestiality, four counts of producing child exploitation material, three counts of knowingly possessing child exploitation material, two counts of blackmail and one count of sexually abusing a child.

According to court documents previously released, Mr Kakiet allegedly committed bestiality at an address in Parafield Gardens on seven occasions between February 20 and April 15, 2024.

Prosecutors, according to the documents, also sought “surrender of accused’s dog used in the bestiality videos” on top of the criminal charges.

Documents also allege he maintained an unlawful sexual relationship with a girl under the age of 17 in 2024.

Mr Kakiet allegedly then menaced a girl, and threatened to “distribute invasive images and videos” of her unless she continued the sexual relationship.

He is further charged with producing child exploitation material from the same time period.

Mr Kakiet stood silently in the dock, and remained silent while being escorted to the cells by a Court Sheriff’s Officer at the conclusion of the hearing.

The matter will return to court in March this year.
