A northern suburbs man has been ordered to surrender his dog after authorities found bestiality videos in his possession, court documents allege.
Tomasz Slawomir Kakiet, 46 from Parafield Gardens, on Tuesday afternoon faced the Adelaide Magistrate’s Court charged with seven counts of bestiality and multiple child sexual offences.
Those offences include two counts of sexually abusing a child under 17, assault, four counts of producing, three counts of possessing and six counts of obtaining access to child exploitation material, as well as two counts of blackmail.
According to court documents, Mr Kakiet allegedly committed bestiality at an address in Parafield Gardens on seven occasions between February 20 and April 15, 2024.
Prosecutors, according to the documents, also sought “surrender of accused’s dog used in the bestiality videos” on top of the criminal charges.
Documents also allege he maintained an unlawful sexual relationship with a girl under the age of 17 between March 9 and April 12 this year.
Mr Kakiet allegedly then menaced a girl, and threatened to “distribute invasive images and videos” of her unless she continued the sexual relationship.
He is further charged with producing child exploitation material between March 9 and March 23 this year.
In court on Tuesday afternoon, Mr Kakiet was silent in the dock as Magistrate Simon Smart heard prosecutors would require more than two months before an answer charge date.
“We are seeking 10 weeks,” the prosecutor said.
Mr Kakiet’s lawyer said no negotiations with prosecutors had taken place yet, and Mr Smart agreed to set a next date in January next year where he will be expected to enter pleas to the charges.
Mr Kakiet was remanded on continuing bail until his next hearing.
The maximum penalty for committing an act of bestiality is imprisonment for 10 years.
