Police are investigating whether shots fired into a Modbury home are linked to youth gang violence, with five arrested after another pursuit in the north.

Police are investigating whether a drive-by shooting in Modbury and a car chase across the northern suburbs are linked to youth gang violence, after four teens and a 20-year-old were arrested on Thursday night.
SA Police says multiple shots were fired into a home on Montague Rd in Modbury on Wednesday morning, about 2.30am.
None of the home’s four occupants were injured in the shooting, which was not believed to be a random attack.
Officers from Operation Meld, a special task force established to tackle youth gang violence, are investigating whether the drive-by shooting is linked to a car involved in a pursuit through the northern suburbs on Thursday.
The family whose home was hit in the shooting reportedly told 7News they did not know why they were targeted, however the shooting may have been an intimidation or scare tactic used by one of the warring youth gangs 051 or KBS, 7News reported.
The family had reportedly been told by police it was not safe to stay in their home.
Witness Bob Hick told 7News he heard several gunshots in quick succession.
“I heard two maybe a couple of seconds apart and then three went off – one, two, three – straight after each other,” he said.
“Bang, bang, bang.”
Another witness, Ruth Hick, said she was scared.
“I’m scared now,” Ms Hick told 7News.
“I am stressed.
“I’m scared because, well, you would be.”
About 2.30pm on Thursday, police and Polair followed a vehicle through Munno Para and Evanston, along Coventry Rd, before it lost control and crashed into scrub near the intersection at Athol Rd.
Police believe the silver Commodore involved in the pursuit is believed to be connected to the shooting.
Four teenagers – a Craigmore boy, 17, two Blakeview boys, both 17, and a Munno Para West man, 18 – and a 20-year-old Andrews Farm man were arrested following the chase.
All five alleged offenders were granted bail to appear in Elizabeth Magistrates Court and Elizabeth Youth Court next month.
Last year The Advertiser revealed police were concerned members of the gangs were arming themselves with guns as the violence between the two groups escalated.
