Murray Mallee couple injured as car thieves speed off with a HiLux from their property
A couple were injured and sent to hospital after they tried to stop a group of thieves from stealing a car from their home.

A couple have been injured after trying to stop a group of thieves from stealing a car from a Murray Mallee home.
Just after 8pm Monday 15 July police were called to Darwin Rd, Cooke Plains – southeast of Tailem Bend – after reports a group of four people had stolen a white Toyota HiLux.
The couple were at home, where the car was parked, and were hit by the vehicle as they attempted to stop the thieves.
A 59-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman were taken to hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The white 2019 Toyota HiLux with the registration plates S924DAK, was last seen travelling toward Tailem Bend on the Dukes Highway.
Police are investigating and appealing to anyone with information or anyone who spots the car to call 131444.
