Two teenagers have been arrested after a man was allegedly attacked with a baseball bat in Murray Bridge, leaving him with serious injuries.

Two teens have been arrested after an alleged assault on a man with a baseball bat in Murray Bridge.

Police said the alleged assault happened on Thursday just before 3.45pm.

They said they were called to Gail Crescent after reports a 53-year-old local man had been attacked.

He sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police believed the victim and the attackers were known to each other.

After investigations, a 17-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man were arrested.

The Murray Bridge pair have been charged with assault causing serious harm and refused bail. They will appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court on Friday.
