From Murray Bridge to Gawler, Burnside to McLaren Vale, the home suburbs of the South Australians charged in a statewide Operation Ironside organised crime sting can be revealed.
SA Police made 55 arrests in relation to the encrypted messaging app AN0M, created by the Australian Federal Police and FBI to track criminal activity, in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
After two marathon days of court hearings 37 of the alleged criminals charged can be named – with 28 appearing on Wednesday, a further 26 on Thursday and one bailed until December.

Operation Ironside 3.0 comes after hundreds of people – from alleged drug dealers to bikies and organised crime figures – were arrested on June 7, 2021, under the original operation, which involved police surveilling users of the AN0M app for illegal activity.
Special leave was granted last year to appeal to the country’s High Court on the admissibility of the messages.
