A man has died in hospital four days after being run over by an unmanned tractor in Glossop.

The 87-year-old man from Glossop was taken to Berri hospital last Friday morning after emergency services were called out.

Glossop is located approximately 235km from Adelaide, on the border with Victoria.

Police said the man had been working on the tractor next to the Old Sturt Highway, according to police reports.

He was transferred to the Royal Adelaide Hospital, where he died from his injures on Tuesday.

Major Crash Officers are investigating the incident.

This comes after another tractor incident in Swan Reach, 170km outside of Adelaide, has left a 60-year-old man in hospital fighting for his life.
