A Pasadena man has been killed after a truck and ute crashed in the state’s South East on Saturday.
About 6.35pm on Sunday, emergency services were called to the Dukes Highway, near Keith, after reports of the crash.
The 33-year-old driver of the Ford dual-cab ute died at the scene.
The driver of the tanker truck, a 53-year-old Woodside man, was not injured but was taken to a local hospital for assessment.
Major Crash investigators are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
Road closures were expected to remain in place for both directions until midday Sunday, due to a fuel spill and removal of the truck.
The man’s death is the fourth life lost on South Australian roads this year, compared with seven at this time last year.
It follows the death of a 47-year-old Blair Athol woman on Friday who was killed when the van she was a passenger in crashed with a BMW and burst into flames.
The driver of the BMW, a 51-year-old Munno Para man was charged with causing death by dangerous driving and causing harm by dangerous driving.
And on January 23, a 64-year-old Hackham West man died after his car left the Sturt Highway and crashed into a ditch.
