A Munno Para man has been charged dangerous driving offences after he was involved in a two car crash at Elizabeth that left a woman dead. Meanwhile, a pedestrian is in hospital after a crash at Smithfield.

A woman has been killed in a two car crash at Elizabeth on Friday night.
The 47-year-old Blair Athol woman was a passenger in a Toyota van when it collided with a BMW at the intersection of Main North Rd and Fletcher Rd just after 7pm, causing it to crash into a tree on the median strip before bursting into flames.
The driver of the van, a 56-year-old Blair Athol man escaped the van and was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with serious injuries.
All roads have since been re-opened.
The driver of the BMW, a 51-year-old Munno Para man was charged with causing death by dangerous driving and causing harm by dangerous driving.
He has been bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on March 9.
The woman’s death is the third life lost on SA roads in 2022, compared to seven at the same time last year.
Meanwhile, a female pedestrian has suffered serious injuries after she was struck by a car at Smithfield overnight.
Just after 10pm, police were called to Charlotte Street, after reports a woman had been hit by a Holden sedan.
The 19-year-old woman from Smithfield, was taken to the RAH with serious injuries.
The driver of the car, a 34-year-old man from Smithfield Plains, was not injured.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are continuing.
