Man charged after northern suburbs police car chase
A Ford Ranger driver failed to stop for police and lead patrols on a pursuit before his ute was spiked in the early hours of this morning.

A driver of a Ford Ranger ute lead patrols on a pursuit in the early hours on Wednesday morning
A man has been arrested after he failed to stop for police at Elizabeth East.
Just before 2.30am on Wednesday, police attempted to stop a silver Ford Ranger utility on Main North Rd at Elizabeth East.
Police set up cordons in the area and successfully spiked the vehicle’s tyres on Yorktown Rd at Craigmore a short time later.
The vehicle was safely stopped and the driver, a 34-year-old man from Willaston was arrested for engaging in a police pursuit and was taken to the Elizabeth Watch House.
Investigations are continuing and further charges are expected to be made.
Car rolls at Myponga
A car has rolled at on Main South Rd, Myponga on Wednesday morning.
Just after 5.30am, emergency services were called to the scene of the single car roll over.
Fortunately, the female driver was able to exit the car and was be examined for injuries.
Police advise traffic restrictions are in place causing delays between Myponga and Wattle Flat.
Man crashes, car bursts into flames
A man has lost his licence on the spot on Monday morning after police responded to a car fire before finding the owner at his address just a few streets away.
Fire crews were called to Todville St, in Woodville West at 1.45am to reports a car was on fire in the street.
According to police, witnesses saw the driver of the car run away as the fire took hold.
The police found evidence the Holden had crashed into a tree on the nearby West Lakes Boulevard before it came to a stop on Todville St, leaking petrol before it caught alight.
Officers, with the help of police dog Rusty, searched the area before attending the vehicle’s registered owner’s address – a 28-year-old Woodville West man – and submitted him to a breath test.
The man allegedly returned a positive reading of 0.093 and was reported for drink driving, driving without due care and leaving the scene of an accident.
He lost his licence on the spot for six months and will be summoned to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date.
Hours later, police attended a fire at a vacant Enfield house.
Emergency services were called to Park Tce just before 4.30am and found the side of the house and overgrown garden was on fire.
The house was vacant and there were no reports of injuries.
MFS extinguished the fire, which had caused damage to the outside of the home while a neighbour’s van parked in the driveway next door also was damaged.
Fire investigators are set to attend the scene this morning.
