Police are investigating after a Maserati was found on fire in the northeastern suburbs on Wednesday night.

Police and MFS crews were called to Greenwith Rd at Golden Grove just before 11.30pm after reports of a vehicle fire.

MFS crews quickly extinguished the blaze but the luxury Italian car was completely destroyed.

Police suspect the car was deliberately lit and that it was stolen from an address in Clapham.

It’s not known what model the Maserati was, but the starting price for a 2024 model is more than $100,000, with the most expensive selling for over $500,000.

It comes after police put a call out for information about a stolen Porsche SUV, which was taken off a quiet residential street after a break-in at a home in Adelaide’s northeastern suburbs

Residents of a Vale Park address heard a disturbance of their home about 1.45am on Tuesday, and found a sliding door was open and someone had entered their home.

Police are asking anyone who may have CCTV footage or information that may assist the investigations to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperss.sa.com.au.
