Large house fire causes $400,000 damage at Mannum

Residents were able to flee a house fire in a Mid Murray town, but the massive blaze has caused costly damage.

A large fire ripped through a home at Mannum overnight.

The alarm was raised to Charles St in the Mid Murray township to reports of a structure fire, just before 10.30pm on Thursday night.

Five crews with a total of 25 CFS firefighters worked to contain the blaze and save neighbouring properties.

All occupants had made it out the property when crews arrived on scene.

The CFS has reported the single-storey home was significantly impacted with an estimated damage value of $400,000.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown and fire investigators are set to be at the scene this morning to determine the cause.
