A 10m yacht and a building have been extensively damaged after a crash in Kurralta Park on Saturday.

The yacht, named the Knot Again, was under tow behind a Mitsubishi SUV when it and an MG SUV collided at the intersection of South Rd and Barwell Ave about 6.30pm.

Police said the impact between the two vehicles caused the Mitsubishi to crash into a wall of a nearby business.

The building was significantly damaged, as was the hull of the boat which appeared to have been pierced in the incident.
