Knives seized from car after driver did burnouts on Hindley St and Victoria St in Adelaide CBD
Police are hunting a hoon driver who did burnouts in the city early Sunday morning, then abandoned his vehicle with a terrifying array of knives inside.

A driver who did burnouts on Hindley St and Victoria St in the city about 5.30am on Sunday morning is still yet to be found after a search turned up several scary-looking knives in the vehicle.
The white Ford sedan fled west of the city as police tailed the vehicle before it ran out of fuel and was abandoned in Bertie St in West Hindmarsh.
The two passengers of the sedan were apprehended as the driver ran off jumping fences.
Police cordoned off the area as dogs searched the area. A search of the abandoned vehicle uncovered numerous knives. The Ford will be seized for further forensic examination.
A 20-year-old female passenger has been issued with a cannabis expiation notice and a 17-year-old male passenger is expected to face charges over possession of some of the knives recovered.
Anyone who sees suspicious activity in West Hindmarsh is encouraged to report it to police as the search for the driver continues.
They weren’t the only knives police found overnight. Nine teenagers were also arrested after police allegedly found drugs and weapons in a CBD hotel room overnight.
Detectives from Operation Meld were among the officers who raided the Franklin St hotel room after midnight, along with those from the Crime Gangs Task Force and STAR officers. They allegedly found methamphetamine and multiple knives.
