Knife-wielding duo on run after service station robbery at Marion

A worker was threatened with a knife when a southern suburbs service station was robbed overnight.

A duo has robbed a service station and pulled a knife on a worker in Adelaide’s southern suburbs overnight.

Police were called to Marion Rd at Marion about 10.15pm on Thursday after reports of an aggravated robbery at a service station.

Police say a male and female entered the store and filled up multiple bags with groceries.

A staff member of the service station approached the male while he was in the confectionery aisle stuffing items into his bag. He then produced a knife and allegedly threatened the victim.

The duo ran from the store and were last seen heading south towards Finniss St.

The male is described as caucasian in appearance, about 180cm tall with a slim build.

He was wearing white shoes, black clothing with a cap.

The female is described as being caucasian in appearance, with a slim build and short dyed red hair. She was wearing a black ‘FILA’ jumper with blue and white sneakers.

The incident comes after a spate of stabbings across Adelaide with a man found with a stab wound on his neck on Thursday at Newton and two separate stabbing incidents at Elizabeth on Wednesday.
