A woman and her two children were allegedly held at knifepoint while two men stole two of their cars and broke into their home in a terrifying daylight robbery at Klemzig.
The four suspects this morning allegedly led police on a northern suburbs pursuit which ended with one of the stolen vehicles crashing into a patrol car, injuring an officer.
The woman parked her Range Rover station wagon at her home about 3.20pm Wednesday, when she was approached and allegedly threatened by a man armed with a knife while still sitting in her car.
The woman and her two young children in the car got out while another man allegedly entered her home and stole property, and drove away in a green Holden ute.
The other man drove off in the Range Rover.
The woman and her children were not injured physically.
A witness reported seeing the green ute parked on Oratanga Rd at Modbury North about 5am Thursday.
A suspect was seen covering the ute with a tarp before joining three others in the stolen Range Rover.
They drove off, and patrols spotted them nearby on Montague Rd about 10 minutes later.
Patrols pursued the car along Wright Rd, Nelson Rd and Kesters Rd before the car was finally stopped when it crashed into a police car near the intersection of Whites Rd and Diment Rd at Salisbury North. The police officer suffered minor injuries.
The Range Rover was then abandoned before police managed to arrest all four occupants.
