Witnesses to a firebombing and tattoo parlour bashing have described the unfolding events that prosecutors allege led up to the murder of innocent man Jason De Ieso amid an escalating feud between the Finks and Hells Angels.

They allege the “real damage” caused by the firebombing – which caused $1000 damage – was to “the pride of the Hells Angels north crew” and that the accused were looking for rival Finks member Charles Bonnici on November 21, 2012.

Witness Terry Jeffrey told the court he was inside Mr Bonnici’s Lords of Ink tattoo parlour at Diment Rd, Salisbury North, when a group of men wearing hooded jumpers walked in and “sternly” told everyone to leave.

“One of them held the door open … I think he had a cricket bat in his hand,” he told a Supreme Court jury on Monday. “They just said ‘Everybody out’.”

He told the jury he walked to the carpark with another customer and a female receptionist. Mr Jeffrey said he was unable to see what happened inside the shop, but the group of men left about five minutes later and “briskly” walked towards a small white car.

He said he had waited in the carpark with the “very agitated” receptionist before one of the shop’s staff then came outside.

“I said ‘Do you want me to ring the police?’ and he said words to the effect of ‘No, f**k off’,” Mr Jeffrey said.

Employees from nearby shops also gave evidence, as well as a nurse who said she saw one of the men lying on the floor in the foetal position with a large lump on his forehead. She told the jury that inside the shop was “chaotic” and items, including mirrors, had been smashed.

The nurse said she later examined that man, and another tattoo shop employee who had a cut lip, before advising they go to hospital because they had head injuries.

Prosecutors allege the same group of men then travelled to Mr De Ieso’s Langford St, Pooraka, paint and panel workshop where he was gunned down.

Eight men are charged with his murder. They are Husain Alzuain, 35, of Goodwood, Daniel Mark Jalleh, 34, of Clovelly Park, Musa Ali Alzuain, 30 of St Morris, Nicholas Sianis, 36 of Beverley, Mohamed Alzuain, 31, of Mile End, Seywan Moradi, 36, of Walkley Heights, Kyle Pryde, 34, of Adelaide, and Ross Montgomery, 38, of Andrews Farm.

Each has pleaded not guilty.

All are alleged to be Hells Angels members, or closely associated with the gang.

Opening the trial earlier this month, Jim Pearce KC, prosecuting, told the jury the men had began making plans for retaliation against the Finks after a molotov cocktail was thrown into the Alzuain family home on November 20, 2012.

“The feud between the two rival groups had become personal and the retribution that followed would be swift, severe and would culminate in the murder of Mr De Ieso,” he told the jury.

Retired Crime Gangs Task Force team leader Patrick McManus told the jury he attended the Alzuain family home on the night of the firebombing and saw the extensive damage.

He said he had spoken with Musa Alzuain and his mother when Husain Alzuain arrived and appeared “fired up”.

“(Husain) ran towards the front door,” he said.

“He just went straight through the front door and the rest of them all followed, crashing through the tape that was around the door.”

Mr McManus said the men then came outside and were yelling “f**k you” towards media representatives who were filming the aftermath from across the road.
