Frightening footage has emerged of two masked men setting fire to a Prospect crepe shop.
The images, from the fire in January last year, show two hooded men spreading accelerant on floors and benches at Creperie & Co, which was located in the Prospect Town Hall.
The men then throw Molotov cocktails up the hall’s stairs, setting fire to the restaurant.
The restaurant’s owner, Lazar Karisik, told 7NEWS that he had no idea who the masked men were or why they might have wanted to damage his business, although he did quip that it may have been for “making too good of a crepe”.
No arrests have been made over the incident.
Mr Lazar said the fire, and the subsequent lack of income, led to him being evicted from the premises and he that he was currently pursuing the City of Prospect for compensation.
