“To the many women who’ve shared their own stories with me: I see you, I believe you, and I will continue to use my platform to speak up and advocated for all of us,” she wrote on Saturday.

“To the women closest to me: thank you for offering me a safe place when I needed to escape, for holding me when I was falling apart behind the composed exterior I tried so hard to maintain, and for listening to the same story, over and over, without judgement.

“This will be the last time I speak about this publicly until my Victim Impact Statement in June.”

Ms Loveday, in an Instagram story on Friday, wrote that she had sat “in silence” for nine months while “something horrific” that happened to her was made public.

“Yesterday confirmed what I’ve known all along: I am a victim of domestic violence,” Ms Loveday wrote.

“With that truth finally acknowledged, I can begin to close this chapter, start rebuilding my life, and most importantly, speak up about this issue.”

The foodie wrote that decision made in the prosecution of the case were choices made to “spare” her from a “broken system”.

“In June, I’ll finally have a voice in the Adelaide Magistrates Court,” Ms Loveday said.

“I’ll be able to speak my truth – not just for closure, but because I deserve to be heard.

“And I will do so for every woman who has been silenced by fear, shame, or the threat of not being believed.”

On Thursday, Moreira Loureiro, who she previously co-owned the Nina restaurant with, pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated assault without a weapon.

The assault occurred on July 21, 2024, and the offence was aggravated by the fact he was knowingly in or previously in a relationship with her.

A second count of the charge, and one of choking, suffocating or strangling a person in a domestic setting was withdrawn by prosecutors.

Moreira Loureiro was remanded on continuing bail, and the matter will return to court in June, where Ms Loveday will have the opportunity to provide a victim impact statement.
