Findon man, 26, arrested after allegedly hurling keg through Pancake Kitchen window

A man has been arrested after a window was smashed with a keg at a popular CBD restaurant overnight, showering customers with glass.

A man has been arrested after allegedly hurling a keg through the window of The Original Pancake Kitchen in the CBD on Friday morning.

Just after 3am, police were called to the Gilbert Place restaurant after staff reported a man had thrown a keg through the front window causing significant damage.

Pieces of glass struck customers inside the restaurant but no injuries were reported.

Police spoke to a 26-year-old Findon man and, as they went to arrest him, he allegedly punched one of the officers in the face before running off across King William St.

Officers chased the man and he was arrested by another patrol in Rundle Mall.

He was charged with property damage, assault prescribed emergency worker and hinder police.

He is expected to be bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court at a date to be set.

The police officer was not injured.
