Tumby Bay man dies after horror crash on Lipson Ungarra Rd, Lipson on the Eyre Peninsula

A serious crash on the coast of Eyre Peninsula has claimed the life of a 60-year-old man, with Major Crash continuing their investigation into the incident.

A 60-year-old Tumby Bay man has died after a serious crash in a town on the Eyre Peninsula on Thursday morning.

Police were alerted to a motorcycle that had crashed on Lipson Ungarra Rd, Lipson - about 67 km north of Port Lincoln - just after 9am.

Patrols arrived to find the rider had sadly died at the scene,marking the 91st life lost on our state’s road last year.

The last known sighting of the man was on the evening of December 31 after he was last seen at a Tumby Bay address.

Road diversions were in place while Major Crash investigators examined the circumstances that led up to the crash.
