Four fires have ripped through properties in Adelaide’s north, northeast and south overnight, leaving two people in hospital and causing hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage.

In the largest blaze, a man and his dog were lucky to escape after an e-bike fire sent their Hackham home up in flames on Thursday morning.

Just before 4am, emergency services received multiple reports of a single-storey residence on Scenic Way being alight and the roof suffering partial collapse.

About 35 firefighters battled the blaze and within an hour it was contained.

The occupant of the home is understood to have been screaming and banging in an attempt to flee the fire.

Neighbours woke up around 4am to the sound of smashing windows and roaring flames as the home was engulfed.

The owner was taken to hospital with minor burns, while his dog Luna was left with neighbour Brodie Summerville.

Mr Summerville was asleep in his home across the road at the time of the fire, but was woken up by the roof’s collapse, coming outside to see flame and smoke.

“It was pretty crazy”, Mr Summerville told The Advertiser.

Luckily Luna the dog escaped with no injuries, but will be having a play date with the neighbours.

The MFS told The Advertiser the fire was started accidentally and was likely caused by an e-bike inside the home.

It’s been reported the fire caused about $500,000 in damage. No other properties were damaged.

Dernancourt structure fire

Meanwhile, a person has been rushed to hospital after they were found on their front lawn with a fire raging through their property.

Emergency services were called to Reids Road at Dernancourt after flames were reported to be coming from the property just after 5.30am on Thursday.

When crews arrived, the house was engulfed in flames, with lots of smoke coming from the roof.

The occupant of the home was found on the front lawn.

He was taken to hospital, but his condition is not believed to be life-threatening.

Firefighters battled the blaze which prevented the fire from spreading to neighbouring properties.

Fire cause investigators and CIB detectives will be attending the scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fire.

Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online.

Enfield shed fire

Police are investigating a $100,000 shed fire at Enfield overnight.

Metropolitan Fire Services was called to a structure fire on Halton St, where they found three sheds at the rear of a property alight.

Unfortunately, despite the efforts of 25 firefighters, the sheds were completely destroyed by the fire and the next door shed also sustained heat and smoke damage.

No one was injured during the blaze.

Fire cause investigators will continue to examine the scene.

Damages are estimated to be at $100,000.

Kilburn house fire

An early morning house at Kilburn is under investigation.

At 6.30am, the front room of an abandoned property on Hawkesbury Ave was found alight, according to MFS reports.

Firefighters successfully contained the blaze, which saved the surrounding properties.

Fire investigators have gone to the scene to determine the cause.
